The ECDF has a new managing director: Sina Born has been heading the ECDF office at the Robert Koch Forum since June 1, 2023. Most recently, she was research area manager at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) in Berlin.

Sina Born studied at the Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts and the Berlin University of Applied Sciences and Arts and brings several years of experience in research management in the field of artificial intelligence. She has clear goals in mind for her time at the ECDF: "I am very excited about the opportunity to lead the ECDF further into the digital future. The ECDF is a successful interdisciplinary research center at the interface of science, business, and society, and I look forward to continuing and expanding this success story," Born emphasizes. Sina Born succeeds Simone Harr, who led the ECDF from 2020 to March 2023.
