On June 4 and 5, the symposium "Revisiting Collections - Strategies of Mediation in a Digitalized World" will be hosted at the ECDF. The event, initiated by ECDF Principal Investigator Prof. Dr. Annette Jael Lehmann (FU), examines the relevance of the digital for current issues and application-oriented formats in art and cultural mediation from a global perspective. This field of research deals, among other things, with representation critique and postcolonial themes, has strong overlaps with critical museology and museum sciences, and aims to develop an independent positioning in the field of digitalization. The event is organized and curated by Yvonne Zindel (UDK).
The symposium is sponsored by the DFG (German Research Foundation) and the Commission for Artistic and Scientific Projects (KKWV), Berlin University of the Arts. It is a cooperation between Freie Universität Berlin (Institute for Theater Studies) and Universität der Künste Berlin (Institute for Art in Context).
